Pins in MARKET-X!

Pins, sewing needles, safety pins, knitting needles and crochet needles. We all know them. But wait! Pins? In a printing machine? A few words from the printing machine sewing box:

Pins are used to take up the paper section on the pin and folding cylinder in the folders of commercial and newspaper printing machines. In the moment when the preceding paper section is cut off, they pierce the paper web behind the knife, which creates a distinctive row of pin holes, so-called “punctures".

To transfer the paper section wrapped around the pin and folding cylinder to the following jaw cylinder the pins retract and thereby make the onward transport possible.

Characteristics of pins:

  • For various areas of application
  • Highly accurate
  • Processed in high standard
  • Robust material
